LPM Street springs: 6K front / 7K rear with torsion bars retained; 6K front / 10K rear with torsion bars removed

Applications: PO-15. K denotes kgf/mm. Suggested initial targets for performance road tires. These are proposed tuning baselines, not Porsche factory specifications. Tire requirements, actual ride height and available adjustment take priority.

Alignment starting targets

Setting (degrees) Aggressive street Track day autocross
Front camber -1.5 -2.5 -2.8
Rear camber -1.8 -2.2 -2.0
Front TOTAL toe 0.04 IN 0.00 0.06 OUT
Rear TOTAL toe 0.20 IN 0.16 IN 0.12 IN

Units: decimal degrees. Camber is per wheel, matched left/right. Toe is TOTAL across each axle, divided equally left/right. For example, 0.20 total rear toe-in means 0.10 per wheel. IN and OUT specify direction independently of machine sign conventions.

Caster: use the correct factory specification for the exact model year and suspension. Match left/right as closely as practical; set rear thrust angle near zero. If a target exceeds the available range, retain correct toe and an even alignment rather than forcing it.

1 / Aggressive street

Prioritize stability, braking and compliance on uneven pavement. Inspect inner-shoulder wear and revise camber for actual road mileage and tire behavior.

2 / Track day

Use tire temperatures and shoulder wear to refine camber. Preserve rear toe-in. Additional camber adjustment hardware may be needed. Do not sacrifice rear toe to obtain more negative camber.

3 / autocross

Small front toe-out improves initial response; retain rear toe-in. Return to street toe for regular road use, or use zero front toe if frequent realignment is impractical.

Provisional damper starting settings

These are experimental starting settings, not manufacturer-validated presets. They are not calculated from spring rates. Confirm the soft direction, adjuster type and permitted range in the instructions supplied with your specific kit before using click counts.

Use Front Rear
Aggressive street 8 clicks from full soft 10 clicks from full soft
Track day 12 clicks from full soft 14 clicks from full soft
autocross 10 clicks from full soft 12 clicks from full soft

Counting: full soft is zero; each detent toward firm adds one. Approach the stop gently; never force it or turn beyond the permitted range. Keep both sides of each axle equal. Do not assume clockwise is firm. If your kit has a different adjustment system, obtain its specific baseline instead of applying these counts.

Tune in small steps

Change one axle by 1-2 clicks, then repeat the same route or session. Log settings, tire pressures, surface and behavior. Try 2 clicks softer on both axles for rough or wet conditions and reassess. If tires skip over bumps, soften the affected axle. If body motion keeps oscillating after a disturbance, try 1-2 clicks firmer. Address steady-state balance through tires, alignment, springs and sway bars; more damping does not automatically mean more grip.

Application and spring configuration

Both listed Street configurations are covered. With 7K rear springs, the retained torsion bars also contribute wheel rate; bar diameter changes the result. Use 10K rear only for the torsion-bars-removed configuration. Do not treat the two rear spring rates as equivalent total stiffness.

For retained torsion bars, begin with the street damping setting even for the first track/autocross session, then tune to the combined spring response. Record torsion-bar diameter with every setup. The alignment targets apply to either listed configuration; damping must be refined separately.

Set height before alignment

Set preload and body length to the kit instructions. Preserve bump and droop travel; check spring seating, tire clearance, brake hoses and joint articulation at full steering lock and suspension travel. Check bump steer on a substantially lowered car. There is no universal fender-height target across these models and tire sizes.

With driver ballast and representative fuel or operating load, settle the suspension, set height and corner balance where applicable, then align all four wheels. Recheck toe after camber or height changes. Verify torque and alignment after settling. Complete applicable PASM, air-suspension, steering, headlamp and driver-assistance procedures for the equipment fitted. Evaluate track and autocross settings on a closed course.
