Description

The Shark Werks 997.2 center-muffler bypass gives naturally aspirated Carrera models a sportier exhaust note while retaining the side mufflers for daily-driving comfort. Designed and tested on a 997.2 S PDK, it replaces the factory center section's tight U-bends with a straighter flow path.

Designed in-house and manufactured in Northern California from 18-gauge T304 TIG-welded stainless steel. Supplier reports gains of 12 hp and 14 TQ, a 9 lb weight saving and no additional drone or resonance. RSS describes the system as compatible with emissions equipment and 50-state emissions compliant.

Direct bolt-on installation requires no bumper removal. Works with stock or compatible aftermarket tips, and can be combined with aftermarket side mufflers designed for the factory center section. Retains PSE sport-button function where fitted.

Includes two new OEM exhaust gaskets and six replacement exhaust bolts, which may be used in place of the existing flange studs, plus installation hardware and instructions.
