Description

RSS 374 XL rear lower-control-arm pair for 986, 996, 997, 987 and 981/982/718. Includes adjustable, non-hydraulic thrust-arm bushings, 1/2/3/7 mm shims and spherical monoball ends.

Designed for lowered cars with reduced-travel dampers. Billet 6061 aluminum arms, anodized surfaces and zinc-plated steel parts combine strength with corrosion protection. Serviceable inner/outer subassemblies use Teflon-lined steel spherical bearings. Monoball joints reduce rubber-bushing deflection; adjustable geometry supports camber and roll-center tuning. Made in the USA. Consult the chassis-fitment and installation guides; extra Litronic/PASM/torque-vector sensor brackets may be required. RSS cites the 2013 Grand-Am GX, 2014 Spanish Tarmac Rally and 2015 Pirelli World Challenge TC championship programs.

Not compatible with base-model long-travel dampers, including base dampers fitted with lowering springs. RSS warns of possible binding at full suspension droop. PCCB-equipped 997/991 Turbo cars may need front brake heat-shield clearance modifications.

Fitment & Compatibility

RSS explicitly references these covered chassis: 986, 996, 987, 997, 981, 718. Exact axle, trim and installed-hardware restrictions in the description still apply. Requires compatible reduced-travel suspension. Excludes base-model long-travel dampers, even with lowering springs.

Support

For fitment and product support, contact rob@levinsonperformance.com.

Installation

Do not install with base-model long-travel dampers, including base dampers with lowering springs. Verify full-droop clearance and all chassis-specific fitment notes.

RSS calls for a visual and fastener-torque check after approximately 200 km/124 miles. Inspect fasteners and spherical-bearing play after each race session and after a collision or off-track excursion. Follow the complete maintenance and torque guides in the gallery.

PCCB-equipped 997/991 Turbo applications may require front brake heat-shield clearance modifications.
