Fitment questions are common with multi-variant Porsche brake systems.

If you are unsure whether your vehicle is compatible, contact us before ordering. We are happy to verify fitment based on model year, trim level, and existing brake components.

Description

These rotors are engineered to integrate flawlessly with the standard 2005–2012 987 chassis Cayman S or Boxster S calipers, delivering a true bolt-on solution with no bearing spacers, no machining, and no permanent modifications. The system uses a staggered rotor setup, 350mm front and 330mm rear, that preserves factory front/rear brake bias and fits 18-inch wheels and select 17-inch wheels, with your choice of drilled or slotted faces.

At the core is a true race-style floating rotor design using H-style bobbin hardware. This architecture allows the rotor ring to expand independently of the aluminum hat as temperatures rise, isolating thermal stress and preventing distortion. The result is a braking surface that remains flat and stable under repeated hard use, maintaining consistent pad contact and predictable pedal feel.

Floating hardware also allows the rotor to self-center within the caliper as loads change, reducing lateral runout and minimizing pad knockback during aggressive driving. Pedal height is preserved and modulation improves because braking force is no longer compromised by heat-induced rotor movement.

Even with the larger diameter, the total assembly weight is comparable to stock, retaining suspension response while significantly increasing thermal capacity. By relocating mass away from the hub via the aluminum hat, the important actual rotor ring mass is increased which improves heat absorption and dissipation. In addition to greater thermal mass and faster heat shedding, the system delivers stronger initial bite and consistent stopping distances, even as temperatures climb.

On the road or track, this system represents a fundamental improvement in how the Cayman or Boxster braking system manages heat, load, and stability, delivering repeatable braking performance beyond factory component limits.

Installation

Direct bolt-on installation for vehicles equipped with OEM S calipers. Installs with standard hand tools and follows factory brake service procedures. Remove the caliper and rotor, replace the original rotor with the new LP oversized rotor, use new caliper bolts and radial spacers underneath caliper bolt holes to re-install caliper, torque bolts to standard specIfications.

No machining, bearing spacers, or permanent modifications required.

Professional installation is recommended. Brake fluid flush and replacement of other aassociated wearable items is encouraged, and proper torque procedures are required.

Brake Bedding

Proper bedding is required for optimal performance and rotor life.

Follow the pad manufacturer’s recommended bedding procedure. Failure to properly bed the brakes may result in noise, vibration, or uneven pad transfer.
